I fear Fascism. Several years ago I read about a pair of wealthy brothers who used their resources to try to turn the USA into a Fascist country. I thought about the Christian myth of Saint George, in terms of good fighting evil. In this painting there's a heroically Romanticized "terrorist," (freedom fighter), fighting the forces of greed and repression. The action of this painting takes place in Chicago's financial district. There's a dim outline of the State of Illinois building in the background. The three figures in the upper right were borrowed from American artist Irving Norman. Lower right are sex and violence. I never thought of myself as patriotic after the moral betrayal of the Vietnamese War, maybe I was wrong.
